Why Pietra Erta

A Commitment to
Excellence

01

Protected Origin

Our oil carries the Colline Pontine D.O.P. designation — Europe's strictest guarantee of provenance, quality, and authenticity.

02

Single Cultivar

The Itrana olive — found almost exclusively in the Province of Latina — gives our oil its unmistakable character, harvested at peak ripeness each autumn.

03

Cold Pressed

From grove to mill in hours. Our continuous-cycle press operates below 27°C to lock in polyphenols, antioxidants, and full aromatic complexity.

Olive
Itrana

The same cultivar behind our D.O.P. oil — harvested at a different moment and cured whole. Firm, complex, with a clean grassy note and a long finish. The olive in its most direct form.

Generations of
Craftsmanship

Nestled in the hills above Formia, where the Aurunci Mountains meet the Tyrrhenian Sea, the groves of Pietra Erta have been tended by local families for generations. What was once purely a way of life has become a deliberate pursuit of excellence — combining ancestral knowledge with modern precision.

Every step — from careful hand-harvest to cold press to bottling — is carried out with one intention: to preserve what the land has given us, completely and honestly.
